We’d like to tell you about giving the gift of music to children:
On May 11, 2019, “Ten Grands Seattle” returns to Benaroya Hall for one night only. Now in its 12th year, this annual benefit concert – a sellout the past several years – delights audiences with music from various genres, including classical, jazz, R&B, pop, and original compositions.
This very special event, presented through a partnership with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra (SSO) and with support from generous sponsors, donors, and volunteers, promotes the performing arts and supports community-based music education programs for children.
Music educator Kathy Fahlman Dewalt, executive director and co-founder of “Ten Grands Seattle” and past SSO board member, and/or community volunteer/Rotarian Steve Dewalt, retired investment consultant and co-founder of “Ten Grands Seattle,” would be delighted to present a brief program for your group. They will discuss how the arts energize, inspire and engage youth. They can also provide a quick overview of:
- The upcoming concert and the 10 sensational artists;
- The impact of proceeds from Ten Grands concerts;
- How music benefits children;
- The opportunities Ten Grands provides to young artists through an affiliation with the Washington Music Educators Association;
- The stage flowers, post-concert gift to veterans cemetery
